On love for animals
What do you appreciate most of all in people? Sincerity? Honesty? Simplicity? Or maybe a bright personality?
And what do you appreciate most of all in animals then? For they have all above listed traits naturally. So?
Maybe some special abilities? A way of behaving themselves? Or dissimilitude to you? Do you love animals as much as I do?
Fact 1. Animals communicate with each other without words.
But how do they understand each other? They are so primitive that cannot create any working language! Meanwhile the similar behavior between two people we call “a great love”. We say “twin souls” or “space connected”…
Fact 2. Animals understand a human as well.
Is it intonation? Mimics? Gestures? Then what about the tortoise which has a brain of the size of a pea, but she’s sure you call nobody but her, recognizes her owner’s voice and runs to him past her favorite fresh salad? In return, we can only guess about the animal’s intentions studying endlessly its reactions and habits. Don’t you want to get a degree in zoo-psychologies?
Do you know that millions of trees on the planet are planted by squirrels? They dig their nuts into the soil and then forget where have hidden them. And you, have you planted at least one tree?
Do you know that sharks are not prone to the majority of the diseases known to man? And you, have you conquered your persistent runny nose?
Do you know that hummingbirds can fly backward? And you, will you go far walking backward?
Do you know that domestic cats can purr both in inspiration and in expiration, unlike their big congeners? And you, how do you express your feelings without words? Using the emoji keyboard?
Do you know that cachalots can hold their breath for almost two hours? And they’re mammals! And you, have you already tried scuba-diving?
However, there are also examples of unseemly behavior.
For instance, a pig is a silly filthy animal deserving nothing but being a piece of meat on a plate.
Have you already got rid of this myth? For pig’s intellect is almost equal to three-year-old child’s intellect, which lefts behind abilities of cats and dogs. Pigs’ love of mud baths has practical importance because mud protects pigs from overheating and makes their skin clear of parasites. And you, do you know your IQ-level and what is healthy for your skin?
Then moles. Blind, eh? Almost, but their nostrils are made as a special three-dimensional organ which works like binocular human’s vision or owl’s locator hearing. And you, are you good at space geometry? Or just at watching 3D-movies?
By the way, ostrich’s eyes are bigger than his brain. Well, the same one can say about some people.
The more I know about the animals the more I want to communicate with them. The more I communicate with people, the more I love #animals.
